From Age of Empires

Hello Heradite

We also have an English wiki for Age of Empires here. It may not be in the best interests to have two wikis for it, though neither wiki has much content yet. It could also be advantageous, if the two wikis can work well together, though I think it is probably better to keep it all at one place to avoid unecessary duplication.

What is the purpose of this wiki? Does it cover scenario design, modding, data editing, or general aspects of the game? Is it associated with any fan site, or independant?

You're almost there! :) You also need to license the text under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) - so you can't copy an article from Wikipedia, acknowledge it came from Wikipedia, put a link to the Wikipedia article, and then write "Copyright 2006 Mike Smith" (or whatever your name/website is) below it. To be sure, the best thing you can do is put a note on your website that the text you copied from Wikipedia came from Wikipedia, link to the article and say that it's licensed under the GFDL (a link to which would be good too). In that case, you can't do anything wrong!

Is this Wikia still active? If so then I would be very interested in helping out. Unfortunately however, I have recently gone to University and left my copies of Age of Empires at home (stupidly) so I won't be much use for a while until I get home again. It's active sometimes then inactive other times. It's active when people (like you) go edit this wiki like crazy (and then stay), but inactive when no-one edits it.

Hello Heradite, I might be asking for a bit too much, but I am the only sysop without being a bureaucrat. So I was wondering if I can become a bureaucrat also so I can add a bit more admins so they can be active for a slight bit of time so if you receive this message please think about it quickly, Thank you.

Hi, I'm Nookta. I'm fairly new to this wiki, but I have been as active as I can. I have made some new articles and cleaned up/added to a lot of others, and I will be more active in the future. It says on the Main Page that you want to hire a new sysop who will be active and I was wondering if you could make me the sysop? If you don't want to, it's ok, and I will keep editing and improving this wikia anyway. - Nooktaficator
