The Stable is a military building that trains cavalry units featured in Age of Empires (I, II, III).

In Age of Empires I, the Stable is one of the major buildings. It can produce Chariots, Cavalry and War Elephants. It is also used to upgrade these Units. Chariots are not available for Greeks, Minoans, Persia, Yamato and Choson. War Elephants are not available for Greeks, Babylon, Shang, Yamato and Choson

[edit] Age of Empires II
In Age of Empires II, the stable’s function has been reduced. It can build Knights, Camels, and Scout Cavalry. It also upgrades these units when selected to do so.

In Age of Empires III, Stables can train a variety of Cavalry, depending on the civilization type. Cavalry is used to counter many things including artillery and infantry. In the early stages of a game, you can train Hussars, and Dragoons.
