The Portuguese Brigade is a shipment available at the Consulate in the Imperial Age in Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties. It is available for the Japanese and Indians if they ally with the Portuguese, but can only be sent once. The Portuguese Brigade costs 2400 export and consists of eleven "Jinete" Dragoons and 4 Horse Artillery, taking up 46 population.
The combination of Artillery and Light Cavalry makes it an all around powerful force, as the cannon can easily wipe out Infantry, and the Dragoons can protect the Cannon from Heavy Cavalry. This Brigade shipment is best when combined with Heavy Cavalry to protect it from a Culverin/Skirmisher combination, but is overall very effective.
