Pierce Armor is an armour type used in Age of Empires. Unlike ordinary armor which resists melee damage, pierce armor resists the amount of missile damage depending on the number of points the unit has. The armor only resists projectiles fired from any unit. To improve pierce armor for all infantry based units, technlogies from the Storage Pit must be researched.

Age of Empires II Edit

The Blacksmith provides cavalry, infantry and archers with additional pierce armor. Certain units, such as the Battering Ram and the Huskarl, come with high amounts of piercing armor, rendering them almost immune to archer fire.

Age of Empires IIIEdit
