A Granary is a economy building that was used in Age of Empires. It is one of the first buildings avaliable in the game.

The Granary is a building that lets you build walls and towers such as the Small Wall, Medium Wall, Fortification, Watch Tower, Sentry Tower, Guard Tower, and Ballista Tower. Also you need to research the Granary before you can build the Market. Also your Foragers and Farmers are able to deposit food at the Granary instead of the Town Center. Ballistics at Government Center must be upgraded before upgrade for Ballista Tower becomes available
